Shortcrust Cookie with Jam recipe


This may seem to be an ordinary cookie recipe, but we recommend the creative approach to its representation. The cookies can be stuck together using jam, honey, etc. You can use sweet margarine cream or candies to beautify the cookies. You can use whole berries from jam to place inside the cookie. Or you can combine any of the above.

Ingredients:

  • Butter (margarine): 7 oz (200 gr)
  • Sugar: 3 1/2 oz (100 gr)
  • Vanilla sugar: 1 tea spoon
  • Eggs: 2 pcs
  • Baking Powder: 1 tea spoon
  • Flour: 11-12 oz (300-350 gr)
  • Jam, honey


Directions:

  • Mix warm butter (margarine) with sugar and vanilla sugar, add eggs, steer up. Add flour, baking powder, make dough.
  • Roll out the dough, make it 1/10″ thick (3 mm). Use baking forms (f.e. hearts) to prepare cookie figures. Make pairs, where the second part has an empty middle. If you don’t have forms, use cup to make circles.
  • Place baking paper on the tray, move your figures to the tray, and place this to the hot oven (temperature 355F / 180C). Baking time: 10-15 minutes.
  • When cooked, combine whole cookies with the ones with empty middle. Use Jam or honey to stick them together, shake sugar powder on top.
