Taratur recipe


It is recipe of Bulgarian cuisine. The classic recipe of this light refreshing soup includes yogurt and crushed walnuts.

Ingredients:

• Cucumbers – 150 g
• Dill – 30 g
• Garlic cloves – 2 pcs.
• Yogurt – 900 ml
• Salt – 1/2 tsp.
• Walnut – 30 g
• Vegetable oil – 40 ml

Directions:

  • Peel the cucumbers and chop into small cubes. Chop garlic cloves and greens without stems. Pour the yogurt in a pan or bowl. If it is too thick dilute it with water. Add cucumber, garlic, dill, salt and stir.
  • Grind walnuts in mortar or blender. Add oil and walnuts into soup, stir and put into refrigerator for an hour.
